Xenocron's H22 EG Shop Car, ~400 whp @ 10 psi

First, thank you to the following:

Johnny "Everybody Gets Paid" Yip, aka Johnny "Tick-Tac" - Well...this is Johnny's car and he funded the operation
Jay, sick Fabrication Skils
Ian (Tommy Babcock), mad tyte water cooler conversation and Honda Hater Skillz
Mike Belben, amazing Head Porting and Design skils...I think most of the power is in this head
JD, late night dirty talk
Blundar...always there when I have a question

My neighbors...this bitch is loud, and they know it O0

The Details:

- 88mm Golden Eagle Sleeved H22 open deck
- Wiseco 8.5:1 Pistons
- Pauter Rods
- Mike Belben Ported and Worked H22 Head
- Supertech Dual Springs and Retainer
- Ferrea 6000 Series STD Size Valves
- Skank 2 PRO 1 Series Cam Shafts degreed in with the Belben Cam Fixture Kit (which we now sell)
- 1Fab Shitty EL Manifold, Rewelded and Heat Coated
- Garrett GT35r, .82 AR
- Precision 600 HP Intercooler
- Precision 1000cc Injectors
- GM 3 bar
- Walbro 255 HP w/ Aeromotive -6 FPR and GE Fuel Rail
- 68mm Proessional Products TB (Stock Throttle Body)
- Stock Intake Manifold with IABs removed (no porting)

There's a bit more...but needless to say I'm happy if we can work the last few bugs out.

The plan is to make 500 on race gas and run mid 10's which should be doable...nothing crazy ;D

Here is the Graph from today (8/6/08):

Basically the car still has what I believe is an axle problem and an Alternator problem. The alternator problem is really only affecting idle and part throttle shizzle right now...so its not a huge concern.

The axle however is a mess...it completely grinds like crazy cornering, braking and launching and under heavy acceleration...feels like something wants to explode. Ah well...whats the worst that can happen!

Track times to come...

sweet eg.

Wish I knew what 200hp felt like at 3-4k rpm...or even at redline.

Looks good and is completely non functional...this is Jay's handy work. Well, I guess you can use it to make sure the cam gears havent slipped :)

Awesome ride. I like how the car is filthy except for when you pop the hood. Why the open deck...any particular reason??

Lol it had to be done...the screws from the gears hit the cover. I gave it the special touch because im a pimp like that, and i figured we wouldnt be messing with the gears much after spending xx hours degree-ing in the cams. By the looks of it, i think it makes enough power with the cams set right where they are at :6

I still cant believe it made that much power...i think you toyed with the flux capacitor in the dyno :1

Can't wait till I drive her again. I might as well see what times the BMW posts as it has 400hp stock but its a heavy car. See you at the track, Chris.

#1 - Well...right now it has only made one pass down the track and had 5 pulls on the dyno, so she is just getting broken in.

#2 - It is only on pump gas right now and I'm a -----, 400 on my dyno is my limit for pump w/o meth

#3 - Because who really needs more than 400hp...I mean, come on really.

as far as I know....Mike will only take heads from me right now, and I might REALLY have to beg to get him to do one, but this is the 2nd head Mike has done for me...and I'll wait however long it takes the next time I need a head.

I dont remember...I have them written down somewhere. But no matter...it's like tuning a car, every setup is going to be different.

Even if you had the same spec cams from the same manufacturer...I am sure you would find differences in how the cams were ground.

so thats why you wanted all of those heads, huh? ;)

find out, if you could. If I could have a head returned to me within a month, I would be game. All I need done is for it to be cleaned up, (actually its spotless) a busted bolt to be taken out, everything checked out and put back together.

I'll find out, but I imagine the 1 month time frame is going to be a no go...

I was going to, but a local shop that I do a lot of business with saw it and wanted it so I sold it to him. I may pick up another one from you as see how it does comparatively which would be fun.

i was amazed at how much power was picked up from the last couple of runs we did...the only changes were being more broken in I guess, the swap of the stock 60mm TB to a 68mm and Jay rechecked all of the valve lash specs today...didnt really change any too drastically.

How much is one of those heads?

Chris Harris 08-07-2008 12:38 AM

Re: Xenocron's H22 EG Shop Car, ~400 whp @ 10 psi

I think when he was doing them last....it was about $800-900 for the works, which in my mind is much comparable to an RLZ or Headgames head for $1200+ and I think Larry @ Edyne is comparable in price.

Don Flores (DonF on H-T) is the one Belben always speaks high praises of...he seems to be a decent guy from what i can tell.

what axles did you use on the car?? if you look at the drivers side axle, it looks like its bottoming out in the inner joint, i see alot of people use gsr length axles with the h22 intermediate shaft, and have the same issues. Kinda hit or miss, depending on what mounts are used.

who are you? your knowledge is useless without pics of your moms titties.
