if your reseting your router every ten min let me guess you downloading ---- off limewire or kazza or a torrent. my router wont let me do any of that for some reason and will trip out and i will have to reset it. but sence i cant really download anything with it tripping all the time i dont and it will last weeks usually before i will reset it. i use to have a action-tech router or something now i have this 2wire router. sometimes i get pissed off and blame the router for problems that occur but for the most part everything works fine besides it not letting me illigally download files which makes me angry :7

I don't like Linksys routers much. I manage a doc offices network and the damn linksys will just lose its configuration every couple of weeks. I even tried a new one with a different firmware version - same problem.

I've used the same wr54g linksys on like 3 different networks and never had a problem with them :l

We got one of the extenders and it really helped in the big house.

Linksys FTL in my experience. I've dealt with 2 of them and they were both a pita. cat5 for me.

Just got my FON router for $13 shipped in the mail, and it's a WRT54GS! Gonna throw a new firmware on it soon here.

i just built my comp yesterday and i use the router and card above. so far i get a good fast connection 95% of the time.
my computer is upstairs and my access point(router) is down stairs and it still works fine.

Re: wireless routers

just use a adhoc network. easy peasy. or just get an access point if you wanna go wireless.
