cat 5, phh. cat 6e ftw

we had to rewire an entire room with cat6e from cat5 at vo-tech... that was sure a blast

wired isnt an option ATM. i'm probably going to get a netgear one or a linksys with the signal booster

Man I just bought the same one for 50 last week, works pretty good so far.. Its in a corner of the basement and I get Good/Very Good signal in the other corner of the house on the first floor..

cat6e on a gigabit network is to fast for ata hardrives :) and some s-ata drives.

My shitty netgear wireless router sucks as well, too lazy to go buy another one though. I just have a 100ft ethernet cable at my parents house, works great! :D

as if you'd notice a difference in your house between cat5 and cat6 cable LOL

cat6 just costs more

I am sharing cable connection with my friend at the front house, running almost 50 ft of cat5 cable, feed throught the window then zip tie it alone the phone line hanging by the roof. just run some cable and save the $.

lol, we have like 3 computers and would need like 150+ ft of cat5, it'll probably end up coming out to the same price. Although the connection will be better. I just plug up the wireless router and be good to go. no labor involved :6

its not cat6e. its cat5e or cat6 ;)

the WRT54G sux balls, get the WRT54GL or WRT54GC (yes they are that much different)
