I was weeding through Autotrader for a decent one a couple days ago. I get a woody when I think about 2 big *** turbos sticking out of the hood. I had a chance to buy an 88Gt with a 5 speed(of course)for $2500. The only bad thing was the interior was shot, but I planned on ripping it out anyways.

To add to the topic, just by swapping the gears in a 5.0 you can shave an insane amount of your 1/4 times. Don't underestimate those cars. They have serious potential.

Sad thing is a 50 shot of NOS on d16 can take out some mustangs... please note "SOME"

But I agree with Cap for the most part. Its the driver and the person driving more than anything else. You'll learn there are ******** in both the import and the domestic crowd... Just chill, learn ----, and go fast!

There is no replacement for displacement, technology works here too.

88 Mustang GT, and no I'm not V8 biased, I had an MR2 Turbo before this, and honestly I liked the MR2 more.

that has nothing to do with anything.

if you take a serious unbiased look at the gas mileage on a high revving high hp/l engine in lets say a integra gsr, or type r.

a z06 with tall overdrive gears are a 405hp/400ftlb torque engien gets about the same mpg. maybe even better on the highway.

most 4 bangin cars dont get the type of gas mileage they shoudl because they have to rev to keep moving. like on the highway. if they had some torque, they would be able to almost idle down the highway and get insane gas mileage.

mustangs, especially 5.0s are very popular now just because of the 5 liter engine they possess stock, there is as much aftermarket parts for the mas they are for hondas and imports
