i know on my regular xbox when i chipped it i can boot up with the eject button to boot normal bios and use the power button for the chip bios, so i could play online still

Yeah they need a way to switch between original fw and update. That way you can use the original to play on live. When the whole fw flash thing started they kept warning people not to play on live with the burn disc. They did anyways and now look. If the game is good enough that I am going to play it often/online then I will buy it.

I know, but they were saying from the beginning not to play on live with them. They knew nothing would happen right off. I'm actually surprised they pulled the cat out of the bag this early. I was expecting them to release the ban hammer right before Halo 3 is released. I forgot where the link is, but I was reading something about how one of the Microsoft spokesman was estimating a leap in console sales over the summer lol.

The shitty part is Microsoft is banning the console. Guess how many of those are going on eBay and unloaded onto people that have no clue. They should have issued temp bans on the Live account for 7 days and give the people a chance to flash back.

I don't really get what they solved by it. They are pissed that people flashed the drives and are playing backups so they ban the system... Ok so now people just keep downloading games and play them on their banned system. Pickup a good used 360 from Gamestop or something to play any legit online games. So they might have the occasional game sale that people really like.
