Gov't buying windmills, solar panels, and things of that nature to place on Gov't property under the stipulation that 80% of manufacturing must be done in America is a fantastic way to boost America's economy, increase energy independence, and improve the US's public image. Giving these companies money to subsidize their existence is a bullshit method of stimulating a new industry. I'd much rather the gov't buy overpriced stuff than them give money away.
If I were in a union, I'd make 2x what I make now and I wouldn't be working during through all of my breaks.

Tell you what, If unuions were per company and non-profit, they would work out just fine I believe.
Say you worked with 9 other people. Boss man ***** someone over on something. You mutually strike and picket after warning of such action, bossman thinks over losses and investment he has in employees and reconsiders.
Unuions like Teamsters, UAW, etc. have such a large revenue, they overpower the employer. When a simple mistake on the employers part can cost thousands of dollars in a grievence, it cripples the employer, to where they nolonger have a leg to stand on. Most unuions also have mafia ties. Used to me more visable, but I believe it still is currently tied in.
