sounds to me like you have a massive air restriction which is the FMIC! Take the piping off at the throttle body and go for a rip, Have you got the turbo and mani on yet? if so theres another restriction

yeah, if hes getting enough air to rev that high restriction is a non issue, sounds like somthing with oil presure or somthing electrical.

yea i doubt it has anything to do with air restriction.. im not gonna get on it until I get the piping back off and get my oil pres. guage hooked up.

oh yea, checked for codes. only a 23 and a 41, Knock and O2, which are knowingly unplugged

call me crazy but doesn't OBDII need the knock sensor hooked up, that could be causing VTEC not to activate because the motor doesnt know if its detonating and how much timing to run.

the hell if i know. im OBD-1. i've been running no knock sensor forever- since the motor's been in. stock D-series VTEC harness doesn't have a plug for KS. i tried to manually wire it, but I think i busted it somehow. lol

Wierd thing... But i had a few different cars and some with knock and some without. On one of my cars it threw the code but still hit vtec forever. then all of the sudden it stoped. and i had to hook the knock sensor up, but instead i jsut chipped the ecu and disabled it. That would be my best bet.

so should i try my P28? im definately not going over 3k until I get my oil pres. hooked up. i can't afford to have my motor blow BEFORE boost
