yup. i love the car just wasnt so crazy about the rotary thing so i did something different. rotarys are great but not so much for daily driving. i did alot of work to keep the weight distribution the same and make it more powerful with a basicly stock motor, plus it gets a hell of alot better mpg than the 16 i was getting on the highway. however im keeping a honda motor in my accord.

flat rate tech at a Honda dealer for a few months now.....ok so far....better than the other gigs..................how many wiper recalls have you guys been doing lately??.......i've only found 2 out of the 50+ i've done that needed motors........1 inop, 1 corroded

worked at nissan/hyundai/kia dealer for bout a year

was at independent shops for bout 9 yrs before that

when i was working i did like 14,057. they all get motors......

The problem with Corvette owner's attitudes is they expect top notch work from flatrate mechanics, which isn't going to happen. Porsche has Rob on salary for a reason - they don't want anyone who thinks like you working on their shittiest Boxster or most Soccer-mom'd out Cayenne, much less their high end stuff.

Not an attack on you, just be aware that other's expectations aren't the ones that have been drilled into your head by a mismanaged built-in-Mexico manufacturer of Cavaliers.

if you were there you would agree the guy was being a little over the edge about it. i can see being that way on some of the cars that come in but that particular one was enough to make me not want to be a corvette tech.

Id like to work for fish and wildlife here in washington state in the cascades where i grew up in mt st helens area.
