I work for a aviation company that refurbishes and repairs corporate and private aircraft. Im in the Interiors department, and I make seats pretty much. I get to fab stuff all day...just not metal.
Attachment 14566

If you look to either side, that is what the frame looks like after I stripped everything off of it. Then made the new seat foam. Pretty fun ----. Those frame can cost up to 40k dollars new. All billet aluminum machined and anodized. O0

I work at an exhibit design firm. I work primarily doing CAD work but also am the "tech" guy for the company. I also do a mish mosh of other things like wrote a barcode inventory system in MS Access, Flash programming, and I'm going to start doing some work on the road overseeing labor for assembly and tear down. Pay is just okay. Hours aren't terrible. I'm busy about 95% of the time doing something job related.

I work at Oxbo International in the fabrication/parts department building parts for the Korvan berry harvesters. We build the machines basically from scratch and make all our own parts except for the engines and stuff.

The past two weeks I've been making parts for the Korvan 4012 multi-function grape harvester and the Korvan 316XL grape harvester.

Yup they have quite a few buildings around here and do everything from missile development, to aircraft, to spacecraft.

I'll be doing more support for the Army Corp and NASA (scary, huh?), not really sure exactly what the job consists of but it pays a helluva lot better than Comcast and I'll get security clearance, technical certifications, and job experience that will look good in the future if I apply for any of the other gov't jobs/contractors our city is full of.
