Re: web hosting

it would be shared hosting
the specs are pretty generous. would be the same levels that godaddy and 1&1 offer.

standard mysql, php, perl and all that jazz.
of course with you guys it comes with no support and you would need to already have a domain name. plus id ask that you not abuse it. not to mention the accounts could up and disappear at any time since there "test" accounts.

I setup a few for myself a while back and every thing seems to be running smoothly. If you interested pm me or something and I will see what I can do. I will do the first 5 people or so that contact me.

Re: web hosting

I am hosting my personal site at home with Verizon DSL and an Linux apache setup(debian), have also used comcast which was ALOt easier to setup. I've used 1and1.com and crucialwebhost.com on my current forum but don't recommend them since they don't allow shell access.

if your only gonna have a low traffic site i'd honestly not even bother paying for hosting, just setup an apache server.

back when i setup my first box I used the page below to get me through the tough parts

Re: web hosting

Seriously the cheapest and best for the cash server. I host all of my sites through them. Signup through my link and save me some cash on my website payments!
