Default Vaccum at 15 and ilde at 1500?

I can't understand it I started my car today and in neutral my vaccum was at about 20 on the gauge, should be 21 but normal otherwise but my idle was at 1500rpms. Then when I put it into drive we idle went to 1000rpms and my vaccum went to 15 or even 14. All things being equal does anyone have any idea what could be causing this. I realize it could be just about anything but I want to ask so I could get some ideas on where to start at. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

Your idle air control valve controls your idle... if parameters are not set right, it will adjust things, up and down or whatever it ------- wants to.. an easy way to isolate it, is just sticking your finger over the passage of the throttle body.

What are you running for engine management?

Vortech FMU, walbro 255lph fuel pump, and missing link which could be busted but I'm not sure.
