Your e-brake must be bad. Mine stops just fine with it. Get your brakes fixed. Also, I don't think the thief really cares if he can't stop in time to avoid an obstacle. Anyways, this is getting out of hand. To each his own. Everybody has there own way of doing things. Whatever floats your boat. There is no wrong way.(technicaly speaking).
