Then I am completely ------- lost/misguided. My local guy told me that a stock map could'nt read boost... so I thought this whole time I HAD to have a missing link. So please someone correct me so I'm not so ------- stupid anymore.

Stock P28 CAN read boost up to 10.5 psi...? -- if so why do I need a missing link?
I'm so confused right now. Someone school me. Do you only need a missing link if you're using a FMU?

the stock map can read boost up to a certain PSI over ambient pressure. i believe you are right at the 10.5psi limit

when your boost goes over 10.5psi the map still thinks its 10.5psi so some people fattin' up 10.5psi so it'll work for higher psi

I understand that the stock map sensor will read up to 10.5 psi. But are you saying that the stock factory P28 tune will be able to read boost? Because I've always been told NO it won't. If it won't then thats what I thought the OP of the thread in which jago is referring to was talking about. Am I right? The stock fuel map won't read boost?

I could be wrong, haven't looked at a stock map in quite a while. I think the MAp will READ up to 10.5psi but the ECU still doesn't know what to do with it. I don't see why Honda would spend R&D money on tuning for pressure the car should never see in it's OEM state.

Holy ----!!!!

There is a reason why Jago posted "MAP". It is an acronym for manifold absolute pressure sensor. The stock Honda one will read up to about 10.5 psi.

A stock map in a Honda ECU, P28 for example does not know what to do with pressures above about 1 psi. There are no load points on the factory map to deal with the fueling and ignition timing requirements.

If you don't know what is going on in the engine management department, go read the ------- stickies in the Engine Management Forum.

Now can we get back to some dirty turbo blow through carbed Joe Dirt SBC madness?

Thank you thats what I thought the whole time. I knew the MAP sensor would read up to 10.5 psi and I knew that the stock ecu wouldn't read boost. Jago your a douche, I even stated in the thread your making a reference to that I mis read what the OP was asking. I thought he was referring to the stock ecu. So you sir are a sweaty vaginal opening.

dude just because I didn't recognize the acronym he was using doesn't mean I don't understand what a map sensor is and its STOCK limitations. He's a douche because he is forever trying to make me look like an idiot, whilst leaving out the whole story. Again, Econo, you're probably not familiar with the thread he is talking about. So why are you even chiming in?
And last time I checked # of post doesn't indicate your mechanical skillz :1
