BTW more people blow motors daily trying to do thier own Hondata, or AEM EMS tune without knowing what they are doing. A FMU is very safe under 10psi. Out of boost which I do 99% of the time it's running off my stock P30 ECU program and fuel pressure so it drives like stock. Once in boost the amount of fuel it dumps is more than safe. Granted I could tune it to make more power by taking out some fuel up top with a real management but it's not nessasary at my power levels. You gotta remember, i'm not making huge power here. 250whp on a B16 at 10psi is average and tons of people do this with even less psi. I've put over 15k miles on the motor with the turbo/FMU in a year and the engine is in as good of shape as it was when the turbo went on.

thats so confusing as hell. over the past year or so i was always told to get 450cc inectors with hack or uberdata to run 10psi. Now im being told its ok to run just a fmu with 10psi :-\

You can do the hack, my brother is running it on his turbo B16 CRX and it works fine. The FMU is just a boost dependant fuel pressure regulator that sees boost and bumps up the fuel pressure to actually force more fuel through the injectors. Not the best way to make power and over 10psi it's not that safe but either way it can be done safely. The FMU (like my 12:1) doesn't increse pressure past a point. If you put a gauge on a car running a FMU past 10psi the FMU will pretty much level off and not increase fuel pressure anymore. That is why past 12 psi on stock injectors your asking for trouble.

I see. I've just always been told that anything higher than 6 or 7 psi you need the hack or uberdata. But if your doing fine with the FMU and not experiance any problems i'll take your word for it. It gives me something to think about when i boost in the near future. I know it would be cheaper going with your advice. Like i said it gives me something to think about :)

it's just the 1/8th mile, I'm sure my burnout machine could run 16s in the 1/8th.

alright, maybe a 16.2, but nothing more than that, you guys can't make me go any higher, I'll get nos if I have to. my motor really sucks.

much props to you buddy! I'm quite impress with your times. I will vouch that a light car with a decent amount of power will hit high 11's to low 12's. Good buddy of mine (BLOOD COUSIN!) hit mid 12's with an all motor setup netting ~215hp at the wheel in a hatch.

I definately agree, more time on the track is definately the best mod... after a turbo =)

I don't see what's so god aweful about a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.
It's what neon owners have used for a while.
Unless you're saying you only use the factory injectors, then I understand completly.

my dads car got me a 11.993.. and that weighed 2500 with me in the car at 277 hp.. so do the math, its posible, and i got a 1.73 60ft.. that is VERY possible. VX's are ------- light.
