tryin to throw the BS flag...

I wasnt gonna do this but i just gotta...

on honda-tech this guy is claiming he is running completly stock B16 down to the clutch, with slicks and 10psi and hes running 11.95 -1/4.
ohh yeah, and a fmu for FM. ::)

I simply dont believe him. Beau is running 22psi and pulling the mid 11's...

im not tryin to call out beau, im just tryin to bust this guys balls.

check out the thread. BTW, im junkyard racer on www.honda-tech.com

Re:tryin to throw the BS flag...

no ----. notice in the thread i mention no pictures or video for proof. anyone who is gonna drive to the track, knowing they are gonna run at least 12's usally takes a camera or a video camera right? this guy makes it seem like 12 sec is nothing for him... ::)

let's do some math, just for fun: stock fuel pressure ~ 42psi fmu ~10psi per 1psi boost. so @ 10psi boost the fuel pressure is raised 100psi, total fuel psi= 140psi, that's about 350% of the original, fuel lines are going to start getting tired if you do that on a regular basis, plus what stock pump is capable of sustaining that pressure?

Re:tryin to throw the BS flag...

he now has a video of "his car" and i paused it on his launch, and there was 12sec of the vid left. a high 11's could be possible. but a "stock motor" with 10psi
i dont believe.

EDIT
after i re-read it, he says its a 1/8 mile. so here hes running 12 sec in a 1/8 mile @ 9psi

I'm going to be the black sheep and say I believe him. I've dealt with him before and he is a SUPER cool guy. He sent me a TPS for free just to see if it would help my problems. I can't seee him telling stories like this. :-\

I don't think Beau has had a good run without any problems yet. He has always had something go wrong, which prevented him from running what the car is capable of.

I say it's true.
