I was tuning my ls/vtec for 16 psi on uberdata & sc61. we switched from stock gsr cams to some skunk 2 stage ones that my boy use in his car but did not have any luck because of the excessive overlap, but they worked great in my car. anyway we did a few 8600rpm pulls because thats where I set my rev limit to tune the cams, did the last 8600rpm pull to confirm the changes were good, but while looking down on the computer I missed the shift light in 4th gear and hit rev limiter, quickly shifts to 5th because I was at about 130mph , then when I start slowing down I heard and feel a clunking noise, pull over and oil is pouring from my transmission, at first I was like damn, I broke an axle in 4th gear, but I jacked the car up and checked it out , turned out the tranny is fucked inside, and building up pressure, and blowing out the oil. I drove home about 80miles on it at 100mph, with that clunking feeling, and bearings rolling around in the tranny. I will tear into it tomarow, to see what up. hope its the lsd, because I have a few stock diffs that I can use for the time being. its an OBX lsd. and its 5 days before my first race. I am pissed

last night my boy and I were on the autobahn, comming back from the club with 2 chicken chicken, he driving his, and me driving mine, with these chickens that just keep talking bout the fast and the furious, and wanna know everything about the car and the wideband display what it does and hight boost switch etc. we were just ------- up everything including mercedes, and those are some high speed cars.. soo she keep blabbing about f&f. so I flipped the switch. car went wild on 20 psi at 165 mph. man that ---- felt good. we do this on the daily though.

whats your definition of good?
mine is tokico shocks, tenzo springs, tie bars and strut bars all around, traction bars, lsd etc. car so low it hurts, we've been in Germany since 98, and we always drive this fast. car feels good hugged the road, no lost of control or anything, the faster we go the better it handles take corners at full speed and waste gas ;D.

if you redline your car at 8600 i bet you can hit 165. i figured my transmission on my b16 y80? (i think) redlined to 8200 would go about 160. most i ever got it to was 140 because its at like 7000 in 5th gear. and thats how i finished off my ringlands(it was already cracked). and theres so many transmissions for the bseries you never know how fast it *could* go up to. depends if you got enough power and your cars not going to fly off the road. i use to always go 130 with my stock engine. not sure how good 165 would be on your engine ::). would like to hear how fast others have got there honda up to?

I had my old CRX at 130mph topped out in fifth gear. That was with a SOHC ZC witha couple of bolt-ons and the ZC tranny

ha ever seen a columbian in africa? my friend in the marines just got assigned there....why i don't know. probably gonna send him to iraq after a few days. anyways your obx is junk buy a quaife. and i doubt any hondas handle to well over 150mph especially on tokicos.

I've done 135 in just my b-swapped eg without the turbo, on stock suspension. As long as you're just going in a straight line there isn't really any loss of control. I don't do this on a daily basis though, and certainly not with anyone else around or in the car. If you're going to risk your own life, don't take anyone else down with you

I can get 140 out of my 90 integra rs, I have a coupple hundred more rpm's but just lack the power, the only mod to the integra is exhaust and intake. My 93 del sol s is so pathetic stock, it will top out at a hair under 110, cant wait to finish the turbo kit, even though I hate driving for even a few miles at such high rpm's.

obviously you dont know whats going on in the rest of the world. the us Army is stationed in about 70% of Germany, I myself just got out the Army and now working as a civilian for the army. my wife is also German, my kids are mixed.

my friend in a b16 a2 2000 si 170mph daily on hondata, crower turbo cams. koni shocks, no traction bars, or any other stabilizers. quaife diff.
the average speed on the autobahn is 120mph driving slow like in the states is endagering others and will get you tickets and accidents. there are no speed limits except for designated areas.

I do this on a daily basis, so I know what I am talking about. I've been driving here since 98 with the same civic.
my top end is faster than a modifeid srt4, I know I tested it.
AND i THINK THE ONLY REASON WHY MY TRANNY FUCKED UP IS BECAUSE I HIT THE REV LIMMIT AT SUCH HIGH SPEEDS.

I am also using a blockgaurd in a ls vtec. talking experience not out my ass.
my b16 block also went through this abuse. and its still in great condition, so is my friend's

UPDATE: the tranny is not so fucked, the LSD is also not fucked. the problem was the differential bearings, the outer one fell apart and put metal shavings all over the insides of the tranny, and also the small bearing that the snap ring seat into is cracked. and the axle seals seals are damaged also. I can be back on the road in 2 days if I get these parts from the dealer here, its gonna be pricey though.

I've lost faith in you guys. obviously ya'll dont know anything about hondas.
my friend car is not stock. mine either. if I can beat all srt4 I raced on top end, including moded ones. I go more than 140mph. if I can beat a bmw m3 on the autobahn I can go more than 140mph. if I can beat a mercedese, that has 300kph speedo on the autobahn, my car goes more than 140mph. if I cant beat my boy on the autobahn that means he goes more than 140mph. tell my where in the states you can do these speeds? no where! so how do you know?

will a gtec do? or will uberdata datalogging do? I know its not accurate in reading AFRS but it reads mph accurately, my argument is backed up by the cars that I raced on the autobahn. and these races arent 1/4mile they are sometimes 5 miles

i seriously doubt your friends car with a basically stock b16 that makes less than 200hp can go 170mph.

i would believe your car with a lot more power could possibly go 165. id definatly like to see it...

mine fully built head with skunk 2 stage 1 cams. 81.5mm bore cp pistons eagle rods sc61 at 12-16 psi uberdata
his built head with crowers stage 2 cams, 81mm bore eagle rods wiseco pistons sc61 at 12-20 psi hondata

Yes, UD uses the VSS, which is wholly accurate as long as you figure tire OD in there. It's the speedo calibration that sucks on a Honduh...

I belive that he could do it anytime on the autobahn. I have had my na ls/vtec up over 145 with no problems so tell me why a boosted ls/vtec would not. oh ya and I still had another 2k to go on the tach. what tranny are you running. ls?

8K revlimit on LS gearing with stock tire size results in 158 mph in 5th. Given the right 5th gear, tire size, revlimit, and power to pull there, 165 is not a problem. Unsafe? Probably. Hard to get to? Not really.

The Black Car, revving to 9500, with LS gearbox hits 140-ish in 4th gear. It pulls *hard* all the way to revlimit, and would hit 165+ in 5th but no one has the cajones to hold it down; the Mickey I-treads have a little squirm to them at speed.

First of all, I'll like to say I'm the friend that rudebwoy is talking about that's here in Germany. who ever says a turbocharged B16 can't do over 160mph, don't have a clue to what's going on outside the United States. That's the problem with us americans, we got some serious tunnel vision. We can't think outside the box. My car for a fact does not redline at 8000rpm. I do not have a 8300 rev limiter. It's way more than that. The way the Germans race is for topend. If you don't have topend, don't even come out there. I'm pretty sure if I said i've beaten a few porches on 5th gear topend pulls, all of you are going to say bullshit. But like I tell everyone that doubts me over here, (mostly the americans because the German racers don't praise porches) bring your money where your mouth is. They all back out then. My needle basically tries to go back to the zero on the speedometer. I have video but have no clue how to put it on the computer. I'll hold my webcam up the T.V. for all haters. Just shoot me an IM. Another thing I love is when all the 4.10 gear V8 people always want to run me on the autobahn, it's funny as hell. List of cars i've beaten on topend:

Porsche 911s: murdered on topend
BMW M3 newer style (343hp): murdered on topend
WRX STi (one of my boys doing 155-160): murdered on topend
SRT4s (all my boys doing 160+): murdered on topend
Camaro SS with modified corvette engine 4.10 gears claiming 450hp with 12.4 quarter mile slips to prove: murdered him on topend wasn't even no competition. He shouldn't have even brought that car on the autobahn. Oh yeah, he gave us his video camera to tape it thinking he was just going to walk away from me. But instead all he saw was tail lights. This same camaro walk pass my boy's WRX STi on topend. The same WRX that does 160mph.

And no my car does not have stock suspension. No, my engine does not have stock internals. No, my EMS is not stock. What else would you like to know about the car?

im not doubting you went that fast but i would love to see video's. and plz dont say just because everyone is doubting you your not going to post them that makes you seem like the biggest noob ever. as far as theres no where to go that fast in america. you got you head stuck up your ass. theres millions of places. legal? maybe not. safe? at least as safe as the autoban. seriously when your on the autobahn how many other cars are around you? how does that make it safe. i live in a small town in washington where there are many roads that are good for racing you just need to know the place. i know for a fact the interstate at some hours are probibly just as good or better then the autobahn. sure i can get a ticket but theres no one else out there except that cop hidding in the bushes.

My dad got a speeding ticket for going 163mph.. In his civic with a stock gsr.. TURBO.. lol 360whp stock longblock. windshield wippers half way up the windshield flapping around.. so scarry.

btw dads ride put down 465whp 283wtq @ 17 psi last night.
