Tranny bearing. ------- gay honda/ GM
well, You guys remember when I put Gm syncromesh in my tranny, well after I took the car to the track it was fine for a couple days, then I got a new muffler that is really quiet(I was running straight pipes before!!)
after i could finally hear, anything, I started to hear a bearing noice coming from the front end, I didn't notice it before but now it's really loud, At first I thought it was a wheel bearing but the sound didn't change when i went aroun corners and ---- so i was doubtful.
So I got my car on the lift and the noice is actually coming from the axle bearing, in the tranny. the axle moves all wobly now. ------- gay GM syncromesh and gay honda trannies.
It's a 91 Si tranny, does anyone know what I do now, should I just get another tranny, or fix this one? can i just order the bearing, and how hard is it to change, to I have to rip the whole ------- tranny apart?

honda genuine is the only way to go. I know a guy in Indy that has ran an 8.90sec/ 1/4 mile on a factory honda tranny, guess what he uses
