trailer park rally car *FINISHED BITCHES* awd civic hatch conversion
thought I would share my trailer park rally car project for you nukkas. Its supossed to be my winter beater for this year but its taking too much time Who knew a awd hatch would be so much work ::) Its been converted to mpfi, swaped a d16 in, put the cable shifted awd trans and welded the trans mount in, put the wagovans tunnel in for more driveshaft and exhaust room. Next weekend is rear diff time, and yes it will be turbo before it comes out >:D

Wow not only just built for rally but really built with the awd conversion etc. What transmission are you running, the awd EF wagon one? Afaik it only puts 10% roughly of the power to the back wheels, unless there is a way to change that. Keep us posted! O0

How does the gearing in the wagovan's transmission compare to other D transmissions? This is definitely looking badass, it should suprise a lot of alltrac and subie people.

Thats ------- HOT!!
A few yrs ago I saw a SCCA Rally where a couple guys had a red EF hatch w/ a JRSC'd ZC mated to the Wagovan AWD all done up like you guys are doing. You HAVE to take some sweet vid when that thing is done ;) |

Re: trailer park rally car progress
nice project. kinda makes me wonder what could be done with an s2000 drivetrain in a hatch. >:D
|
Re: trailer park rally car progress
nice. i've always wanted a awd honda that actually looked decent. is the wheel base the same or are you going to have to modify the lenth of the driveshaft?
good luck! |

Re: trailer park rally car progress
I remember you asking questions about this, but I didn't think it would happen. Props for a cool project.
What are you going to do for suspension? Some guys in town rally race a EF hatch. They do well, and are sponsored by H&R. It was featured in sport compact car. They ane using 90-03 integra front shocks, 4th gen(pop up headlights) accord rears. No sway bars. They rolled it at the SCAA nat'ls. http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=878970 http://jfab.com/rally2004/226_crash/ http://cages.jive.net/gallery/After-CRNC?page=2 http://jfab.com/rally2004/226_crash/226_crash_00.jpg One of the rt4wd wagon guys recently converted his piece to 50/50 awd. Solid driveline and phontom grip LSDs front and rear. |
Re: trailer park rally car progress
sweet project!! :D
|
Re: trailer park rally car progress
had not really decided on suspension yet I thought maybe sport springs on kyb struts since I dont need it lifted, I asume thats what the accord/teggy ---- would do. I dont think a 50/50 conversion would be smart for the street because you need some slipage between front and rear. phantom grips might be on my agenda though. ;)

Re: trailer park rally car progress
