well i'm just going on what i was told

and i know 91 civic doesn't have airbags. i said if you are towing a car with airbags to disconnect the battery or something to keep them from deploying.

well when i towed my civic there was no engine or tranny, that's why i towed it...
i know on automatics it will overheat the tranny, i'm not sure on manual cars.

You've gotta idle the engine and leave the trans in neutral if it's an autotragic.

If it's a manual, you *should* be OK leaving it in neutral.

I snapped an axle trying to do cookies/donuts once and Beau towed me in his CRX, so I'd say get yourself a CRX and your good to go.

I wouldn't tow a car more that a few miles with that thing, only cause i would be worried about ---- locking up. But if you pulled the axles real quick you might be able to tow it allday.

what the ---- is all this bullshit about towing and ---- overheating? how does letting an engine coast in neutral being towed, with no power making ---- move, overheat? tow the ------- thing and be done with it. tow bars arent safe either.. check state laws first. get a tow dolly to be safe

automatic trannys will overheat if you tow the car will the wheels on the ground.
i don't know if overheat is the word i'm looking for, but it will ---- your ---- up.

and why would you say towbars are not safe?
towing a vehicle is not safe if you don't know what you are doing.
thousands of motorhome drivers use towbars to tow their car everyday.
why do you think it's not safe?

adjustable towbars are death in pipe form. ive used them and never again, talk about cars driving themself. you almost need to block the steering wheel from turning. and the automatics ''overheating'' the internals will still pump... how else do all those retired ***** with rvs and buicks/tauruses tow their car?
