The valve springs are torsion bars and will more than likely need to be replaced/spec'd if you want to ride it like you should.

If you've got the time, welding a brace just aft of the head tube would do wonders for that flimsy chassis.

Its a sweet bike, a friend of mine picked one up for $750 a while back and it was beat. Here it is now. I wish i had a before picture to show you. Only think i don't like about it is the huge *** back seat. But other than that its pretty nice. Its got cut springs in the back to lower the ---- outa it. It used to be this rust colored paintjob on it till i got ahold of it.

And here is one with my bike next to it for height comparison. His is supposed to sit just as high as mine.

When they first came out they were the baddest thing on the road as far as motorcycles go, many consider them to be the first mass produced sport bikes. But compared to todays standards they are slow. It seems that the cafe look is becoming very popular as well, I think he should be different and throw a gsxr front forks and brake assembly on it, and some zrx1100 or 1200 rear shocks. Actually make it handle well. Kind of a similar style to what their doing over in japan.
