Default picking out my turbo

i was looking into the right turbo for my setup, but i am still not sure. I have a b18 (ls) only going to 7 psi for now, but in the next couple months plan on building my motor to handle 14. Right now i am leaning towards a smaller t3/t4 (57 trim). I am a little worried about the spool time though. Anyone know how long it will take to reach 7psi? 14 psi?

thanks

a t3/t4 is to big for 14psi. also what is your HP goal. Id thik for something like a good super 60 would be fine. something with a stage 3 turbine wheel on the ehxuast with a .48 a/r housing. i think that would be nice. might take a bit to spool but then agian honda heads seems to flow OK. just dont go overkill on the turbo. and remeber your after HP not a boost pressure.

Why Does everybody care about spool time?!?!?!? Who gives a ---- about spool time. I think this is a really bad way to decide what turbo to use. You should be buying a turbo for maximum power not if it'll spool by 2k.

When your racing once the turbo is spooled, it stays pretty much spooled so lag time isn't even a factor after first gear. less lag = less traction. more lag = more top end useable power and an overall a more fun car to drive.

right on whitey, thats what i have been telling my self. bigger turbo equal bigger hp numbers. and i am out of boost......like a whole 3 seconds. Plus is figure this way i can get better gas milage for daily driving. Everyone has been telling me though to down size it. Thanks for you imput guys.

and yes i was looking at the super 60, but they are sooooo hard to find
