Tap and Die set???
Ok..over the years I have had some mickey mouse tap-n-die sets but nothing great. Ya know, the sets that never have the size you need. I am thinking that I want to purchase a good set, so I am looking for opinions or suggestions. If some of you have a nice set, could you give me the brand and part # if you have it handy? Thanks.

Re:Tap and Die set???
Yea, I was thinking about going the snap-on route, but they are expensive. For the most part I buy Craftsman tools cause they are cheap and easily replaced when they break (cause they do, lol) but I am not sure on the quality/accuracy of their tap-n-die sets. Any thoughts on those?

Re:Tap and Die set???
They will work just as well as the Snap on, Craftmen tools arent the greatest but they are well made. Taps dont really break that easily, unless ur dealing with a very tiny one...
2 things when you use them that will keep you from breaking them.. Buy this fluid called magic.. which u use when tapping. And make sure u do half a turn in then half a turn out so the tap is loose again, relieves pressure on the tap.

Re:Tap and Die set???
once you get a tap and die set make sure you know exactly how to use it, there are certain techniques and ----, like you do different ---- if your taping aluminum, then if you were taping steel.
but I'm sure you already know this
