Pretty sure a 97 is a Mk3.

But, yeah that would be funny if that's what he actually meant.

What JD really meant to say was trade the B series VTEC faggotry for the all mighty K series.

:P

1997 Jetta GLX with a ton of upgrades. 207k, black on black cloth, 5 speed, a/c, power windows, locks, mirrors etc.
All parts were installed in the last 6 months, and all parts were brand new:

KW V3 double adjustable coil-overs
drive shafts
Fidanza 5lb flywheel w/ Sachs clutch
NGK plugs
NGK wires
NGK O2 sensors (both)
Maremont Metal Cat (2.5" in and out)
Stainless 2.5" exhaust w/ Vortex muffler
BSA 17" wheels
Yokohama S-Drive rubber
KVR "J Hook" rotors (all 4)
KVR Carbon pads (all corners)
Tie Rods Ends
WRD Poly engine and suspension mounts (not installed)
Euro Chin spoiler
B&M Shifter
Cooling system kit w/ Alum crack pipe (not installed)
New rear calipers (not yet installed)
tensioner and sepentine belt
Ball joints
Neuspeed PFlo
Spare set of DE wheels
StopTech Braided Lines (not yet installed)
Oil pan
Wilwood RBF600 brake fluid

Car was just aligned and corner balanced ($350.00 value)

I had a mk3 for awhile, seats are very uncomfortable, weird driving posistion. It was nice on the highway though and had good torque for around town. mk2 vr6 is the business when it comes to VW's as long as you get the tranny situation sorted out.

No, I read the first post and got bored by the 1001 insipid responses to a question so stupid it shouldn't have to be asked in the first place. I quoted 13th's sentiment and was too disgusted to add to it, sent it to the bitbucket.

FYI, Hitchhikkr texted me the other day that of the 9 broken TDIs currently residing at the dealership 6 of them have clogged injectors/burnt up pumps and sporting bio-diesel stickers. VW owners = engineered failure. :P

only problem i have had with it is a glow plug, as long as you do the maintaince like cleaning the intake and egr ---- it will last long. I was running bio diesel for a while getting a steady 57-62mpg. you have to slowly introduce biodiesel to these cars or you clog up the injector pump and fuel filters.

This is the ------mobile buk saw, but i don't have it anymore

Slowly introduce or they clog? That's ignorant. Either the fuel is filtered and unadulterated or it isn't.
