How do you think one of these d-series swaps will cost me? The motor just bolts in right?

check this out^^also check the 1/4 mile time thread.
get a JDM D15B. you can pick one up for like 500 shipped, then get an almost ready kit from the classifides section for like 4-500 and you are a 13sec car for about a grand.

^^^^^^dam this sounds so easy...I wish I had a grand...

also if this helps you any, i "am driving" a 89 CRX with a B20 mated to an LS tranny, and im running low 14's on street tires, no other mods than a I/H/E. so with a small snail Im sure low 13's are possible. slicks, high 12's I think would be realistic. I think this could be done for about $12-1500

IMO I would go with the first set-up.
keep us updated man!

if your not going yo swap the motor out yourself. this could get very expensive. if your doing it yourself tho. stick with with the D. its fine for the numbers you want.

Re:Which swap is for me?

I would be doing it myself with the help of my dad. He builds hotrods so I think we can get it done. Just for fun, the project he is working on right now is a 1934 Ford Victoria with a 454 bored out to 498. Talk about balls, I guess the trim he has is so rare there are probably only 40 left in the US.

I would keep the engine thats in it, get some webber carbs, do like a N20 set-up on it, maybe some boost to. there are parts out there for it, just a little harder to find.

Does the JDM D15b just bolt right in? If not what modifications do I have to do to get it in there?

Re:Which swap is for me?

Re:Which swap is for me?

Here are a few pictures of the car. I talked to the guy on his cell so I got some info, but not all. Its got 200,000 miles, cd player, 5speed, ac works, clean interior, he said that the clutch was loose and it needed to be adjusted or something. He is asking for $1500, but I think I can get it for $1200-$1300.
