Re:Stereo install
Thats awesome! Mine was just jacked :( I should invest in your way

Re:Stereo install
It wasn't much of an investment. It was actually nice to get rid of the old stock stereo.

Re:Stereo install
hahaha thats pretty cool man :D

Re:Stereo install
that brings back memories of stereo installs back in the mid 90's. everyone was all about stealth systems. i remember seeing a car where the guy took his stock faceplate and modded it to work the aftermarket deck that was behind it. motorized the stock panel or something so he could load his cd's.
sorry, for the random memory...anyway, looks good, definitely just another deterrent to prevent breakins. Ben |
Re:Stereo install
The modding of the old plate to make it work with the new stuff is a little far. I just did this cuz it was free.

Re:Stereo install
I've been meaning to do that for a long time, I just just don't have a stock radio to ruin. maybe I'll use an old Rampage face...
|
Re:Stereo install
Just pick something shitty. You can probably get a stock stereo pretty easy, you could even steal one. If it already has a fake face, then you are set.

Re:Stereo install
hmm nice idea....I still got my stock deck too
|
Re:Stereo install
damn that is one kick ass idea... I like that. I have a nice little head unit in my car, I don't even remove the faceplate... it's an all black screen and looks good there :) Plus I hate the look without the face.
I really like your idea, I like how the radio is sunk in, mine pops out, gotten lazy, I figure out how to rig it later. :P |
Re:Stereo install
I am guessing that you have a sony xplod or kameleon deck.
