Stereo install

I was worried about my stereo getting stolen again so I tried to camoflauge my stereo. Thiw will work for anyone with a 5th gen Civic, and their old stereo.

My stereo installed:

The stereo off:

Back of new face:

New Face half on:

Old face on there:

The face of the old stereo comes off really easily. All of the buttons stay in place. The only ones you have to glue on or make stay in are the volume button, and the fade/balance and treble/bass buttons. Also run a few pieces of electrical tape around the face so it fits snugly in the opening.

This should work for any stereo with the faceplate off.

do you have an alarm? they're not that difficult to install and can be had for $50. also, if you remove the buttons from the stock stereo face plate, it'll look shity
and unattractive. that's a good idea though. i still have my stock stereo and the vafc is mounted in the console bottom hole and i cover it with a black rag to make it look like there's nothing there.

That is pretty ------- good, but at this point I'd jack even your stock Honda stereo. I'm so sick of listening to every bump, rattle, and fart my Civic lets out going down the road. I grit my teeth hoping it doesn't blow every time I drive anywhere...

I have an alarm, but I still don't want the car broken into or fucked with. It is just another deterant.

I just keep the cover plate in the glove box with the faceplate case.
