Re: "stand your ground"
i have a 10/22 too, I like it, but a 22 gets old quick. Its like a big bb gun. I want something that has a kick and some stopping power that would also be good for street sweeping if the need be.

But yeah... if you want a .22 rifle for your first gun, get a 10/22. They're cheap, durable, and there's a ton of aftermarket: http://homepage.mac.com/limefrog/temporary/rifle.jpg Riced out, baby. :8 |

Eagle makes pretty good 30rd mags for the 10/22. I've got one and it's the most reliable magazine I've tried - second best have been the Shooter's Ridge 25rd (pictured above.) You can get some sweet rebuildable ones now, but I'm too cheap for that - this is a plinker, dammit. ;D In other news... I shot 50 rounds through the mini revolver. This thing rules! It feels a lot like my Taurus both in recoil and in accuracy, but the ammo is a hell of a lot cheaper. :) http://homepage.mac.com/limefrog/temporary/targets.jpg |

Re: "stand your ground"
Also, eat my bozack. I'm aiming a 1-1/8" tube at a small piece of paper 30 feet away with no practical way to aim the thing. I was kinda sighting down the backstrap and using the front sight as a lateral indicator. There's no rear sight. ???
