PM RacerStev on HT. He heat treats gear sets. There are a number of people over there that were striping 3rd and 4th, on the street, track, and dyno! Heat treating solved the problem, and it is said to be fairly inexpensive. The only failure to date, was on an 850whp Hotrod class car. I think it would be prudent to heat treat the final drive as well, or get a worx or liberty or ect... final drive and a lsd. The way you keep striping gears out of this transmission, makes me believe that if his heat treated gear set doesn't work you will need to do one or more of the following.

1. Goto a billet housing to stop the gear sets from flexing apart.
2. Goto a 4speed with a handcuff
3. Goto a liberty dog box gear set with a handcuff
4. Give up and build a CRX with a D.

Ive talked to steve, and found someone local whom uses about the same process on toyota axles and driveline stuff for crawlers and whatnot. Hes using toyota drivetrain ---- with seeriously underdriven transfer cases and motors making gobs of TQ. Also talked to M factory... The H srtaight cut syncro gears and input shaft ARE going to be made, and ill be one of the cars testing them, but that will take time - like a few months. I am building a tranny out of this last one and one other I have, to sell it before I just ---- it up too. Reason being that a buddy of mine has a Quaiffe h22 tranny that " may" have gears in it of an aftermarcet custom variety. Ill get that one regardless for The LSD and send the internals to be treated and try that... See how it works while waiting for the shaft and 1-2-3-4 set from M factory. At least thats the plan.
