Ya!!! I tyripped out when he sent me his numiber to chat about what we need to do to get H gears built, But Guillaume was really helpful and interested in what we're talking about....

Wish I could just buy the sahit RIGHT NOW though ya know....

I cant even get into going down and p[ullling the box out of the car... F it... Ill do it tommorow, after I pick up the LSD tranny....

I would think that the brace would do the most good.

Sorry if I am behind the curve on this one.

Are you gears shattering or just ripping the teeth off?

I would think that if they are ripping the teeth off it is because of the main and counter shafts flexing under the trememdous load.

Am I off base here?

If you break the b4 i want the ring gear off it or even the whole differential. Still wanting to get mine back going for a back up. What part of the case is bad? I give it a month for my bid. Month from today. $100 you told me he wanted $350 for it. Let me know if it breaks i want it

Are you talking about them fracturing where the fixed gears are splined to the shaft or at the root of the actual gear tooth?

from the root of the tooth towards the shaft boss... THEN they break actually BEYOUNFD the "channels" in between the teeth.

Just trying to get a picture of what is going on.

Hopefully Mfactory will start producing gears for the H series guys then.

Just to clarify for people Dog engagement is different then straight cut. You can have a straight cut gear set that is syncro engaged, and you can have a straight cut gear set that is dog engaged. Dog is inherently stronger by the way it engages (pic is worth a 1000nd words here, but alas I don't have one) It is a positive engagement in that as soon as you start to shift it actually pulls it over the next gear there is no slowly sliding it into gear, you have to be firm and positive with all of your shifts, but you do not need to clutch and can run full power and smash through the gears.

Back on topic those gears look beefy, good to know that there just in belligham, as Urban Indian will need some of that this year, and sketchy dave our cage fab man / dynoman's shop is just across the boarder. Gives us an excuse to go for some jack in the box.
