that only as far as swaping the dohc into an mx3. the for any 4cyl mx3 prior to 94 you must use 94 - 95 mounts from an mx3 with the dohc already in it. it makes the swap less time consuming. also the mazda b-series motors will all swap mounting. to put a BP 1.8 in a BF 323(86-89) you use the mounts from a 323 dohc b6.

myself i am looking to get a festiva. i have a 1.8L BP in the garage that i wanna swap in it. with a stock BP in a festiva, i would run the 1/4 between 14.8 - 15.3. thats on a stock bp dohc.

you can also find parts for these cars and motors at www.corksport.com

they make more things for the 90- up 323, protege, escort.

oh and one last thing, if you was to get a festiva, here is the aftermarket. www.festivamotorsport.com

Didn't even know about that one, I can get one local for 400 but I'm sure he will take half that. Its got 220,000 km's on it runs like a champ. I can get a rust free 4dr for free but I'm not feeling it. I'm thinking hatch or fiesta.
