And at 350whp they were at 144% duty cycle?

Dam thats crazy, they just are so damn easy to buy and are the norm so there seems to be more help as far as tuning goes, as well as getting a nice smooth idle

I dont know if Abaz used Uberdate to tune his girls car, but I read a thread that the uberdate duty cycle reading doesnt work. BBKA said his duty cycle is 127%? I forget

How can you go over 100% duty? arent they maxed...

If you plan on makin enough power to max out 450's you better have a super duper nice head. D series heads are very weak stock and require alot of work aka square port or big port which is not the norm and by far not cheap, all the power is in the head plain and simple thats why dohc vtec motors make globs of power. Good luck WOT your way ahead of yourself if you think your goin to slap a turbo car together and run 11's.

duty cycle is messed up on uber, but yeah, you can go over 100% duty cycle, and yeah, it takes a while to get your car dialed in to where you're getting the most out of every part, you don't just slap it together and go, it could take a year before you finally got it tweeked to the max. one guy i know shaved off 1.5 seconds from the time the gates opened at the track until the end of the season with the same set up, he would just tune a little bit here and there, play with the boost, launching at diff. rpm's, etc., but with the same exact set up and he was already an expereinced driver, so i don't think it was his driving that got better.

Does Gude(or anyone who regrinds) still get their extra lift by shaving off the heel of the core exchange cam and extending the lash adjusters?

I owned a a6 gude stage two cam a few years back. It required constant lash adjustments because of the adjusters mushrooming from sticking out of the rockers too far.

I would look into a ZEX cam also, a lot of people seem to like that cam for the Z6. Headwork is also a good idea, but I would spend as little money as possible and see how far you can go with the stock stuff, just crank the boost up a bit instead. If you can't get 11's then spend the money on a cam and headwork or other things. Just my thoughts.
