What are you doing for the wiring? I just bought a 04 r1 motor to put in a quad and i cant find much for the wiring or a small inline fuel belt. looks good and is going to be fast

Re: So you think your honda is fast?

I used the original CBR600 wiring with all the bullshit removed (ie signals tailights etc) You will need the bikes assorted electronics if you want the motor to run. I also used the original Intank pump that was modified to be mounted externally. If you want to know how to do this let me know and I will take detailed pics. Careful with removing the ignition switch and hotwiring to bypass it, some of them have a built in immobilzer. It basically steps down the voltage to the ecu to 10 volts, so the right resistor will work. Not sure if they do this on an R1 though. These motors like to run hot so run 12v to a switch and to the fan so you can keep it on as you wish. The fan kicks in at a very high temp and with the motor in a quad or kart the rad wont get much cooling. I will be using a raptor rad (for space issues) with this kart with a switched fan that will probably stay on most of the time.
It helps to have a wiring diagram I searched on the net and found one.
I woudl eventually like to get a Power commander for it as well as some sort of exhaust, it is lightning fast but it coudl use an extra 5-10hp. :1

Achim Korden (creator of "Gixxerkart") is a legend to the bike powered kart community. (if there is one) Hes the guy that started it all. 1100cc aircooled on an oldschool shifter kart with nonvented rotors and he pushes that thing to the max. Just watch the vid of him driving that kart on the nurburgring, or his 2 seater cbr1100 kart on some mini rally course in germany. I have major respect for that guy...
