They are some of the best lawyers in the country they are not soldiers but contractors who get paid by the D.O.D. I think you're really confused that the military gives ---- about your money. Also I'm suing your wife and no lawyers allowed in small claims

Honestly, I think you'll have a hard time getting your money, but it's not a big investment and really all depends on the judge. Should be easier to put the responsibility on her since you didn't get jack ---- outta the loan.
