and as far as govt. mingling with private buisness, i.e. "socialism".

it brought germany from financial ruin to the worlds most powerful nation. if it werent for a crazy ass ----------er named hitler and his insane lust for power, they would still be on top.

Your a ------- idiot, the reason we have free enterprise is because it naturally fills the voids in the economy by filling consumer commodities and necessities as needed, not as predicted, I.E. Speculation, what got us here in the first place. The inflated housing market followed by sub prime loans caused a bubble to built artificially, wages didnt support it neither did growth on anything other then a projected scale once again. And now with money sticking to everyones hands in wall street peoples hard earned money has now been lost in irresponsible lending practices causing all the banks to crash.

There's a general rule that if you ever mention Hitler, Nazis, or Imperial Germany you automatically lose the argument.

Trickle down theory only works if the rich really want their money to trickle down i.e. create jobs for poorer folks. The reality is this idea has not been able to work since the industrial revolution. Why would the rich want their money to trickle down? The only incentive for them is to make more money. With automation and efficient manufacturing processes this can be done for pennies. If they need human labor they use southeast Asian children to put electronics together on the floors of their huts. Trickle down is a joke.

You keep letting the gov controle a little bit of this little bit of that, we wont have any freedoms,

Government needs to rewrite laws that are passed on global economies and let the bad apples fail. Credit will struggle for sometime but in the long run its worth it not giving total failures billions.

what? What are you talking about? Business is no more blood hungry today than it was at any other period of time. People have always bought dumb ---- with their money. None of that is the issue.

If the market falls to the ------- ground, it's nothing but good for any of us. Well, except those who have made an investment in the housing market, coughdrboostcough. Housing prices will fall down to reasonable levels that will match what people have the ability to pay. Banks will be more frugal with their investments and people will be more inquisitive as to what their bank is actually investing in if they chose to allow that bank to invest their money. Everything will eventually adjust back to real world values. It's one hell of a reality check, but it's not unrepairable with work.

This is economics at work. This is the manifestation of what's been known for hundreds of years. If people didn't think the government was going to come in and baby sit them when they make stupid decisions, they'd be a little more frugal with their money and the banks sure as hell would be more cautious as to who they gave loans to if they knew no one was going to bail them out when ---- hits the fan.

What has happened now would be comparable to a tuner turning your car, running 14:1 afr's, boosting 15 psi on a D listening to the engine rattling like a box of ------- bb's laying into the throttle and going "ok, we're making power. Every thing's good. We can still run it like this, go steal a tank of 118 from the shop down the street" :1

How ------- ignorant is this?
Firstly, by spewing some orwell totalitarian, communist, fascist sates with that have absolute control with any free society.
Secondly, by insinuating that the human race has some innate good-ness that it will self regulate in ANY form; beyond any economic discussion. So... How has the innate goodness of everything worked out? Good job!

Economic goodness on its own??? Sure, that has happened... Tell that to the sickening amount of large companies that have been caught using "creative accounting". The entire US housing market driven purely by greed and giving loans to those who can not hope to meet the criteria, only to purposely bury them with adjustable rates and penalties. How about the oil and auto industries insane greed, and killing off any competing technologies. All the wheel the oil industry makes record profits.

Pub, Dem, Indy. Regardless of anyone's political viewpoints on anything else. Anyone who believes that Republicans have any economic answer for any single economic crisis in history are dellusional.

The simple fact is that the god damned parties views on economics is geared for both failure, and oppression of anyone but the highest classes. It has been throughout any point in history, not US Republican history mind you. But AT ANY POINT a society has been governed by their views.

DO NOT confuse a regulated free-trade economy with some stupid absolute control economy...
Ya those non-existint republican economic regulations have done such a fine job with the economy...

..

It's not stating that anyone has any innate goodness. It's stating that you get to have ------- property, and you get to decide what to do with it so you better make a wise decision as to what you're doing or your ass isn't going to get to do what you want to do, or eat in an extreme case. It's motivation and self regulation is self interest. People have a general shared interest in improving their well being, therefore they have to put effort into their life, live by a code of values that respect property rights, have a work ethic, save and invest.

Your wealth is the manifestation of your values of rational behavior with a low time discount rate, your work effort and what you've produced for society.

Yeah, government did stay out of private buisness and look where that got us... a huge socialist government bailout. Because of a lack of some regulation, now the government has to literally run private buisnesses.

If big brother should completely stay out of private buisness, than these companies shouldn't come crawling to big brother to bail their ass out after the CEO's make tons of money and leave the mess to the public. Its just how the rich get richer.
