rx7 vs crx

Re:rx7 vs crx
no that was one of my embarssing jacked up runs in the camaro, i launched at idle, floored it, went sideways.. almost crashed, speed shifted into 2nd... almost crashed, missed 3rd, then floored it all the way through 3rd, missed 4th, then coasted. i was so frustrated, cause i was on street tires and the shifter linkage was so bad i couldn't find 3rd or 4th gear. it was terrible
have you dyno'd your car? that'd be cool if you could run high 13s in it. that'd be pretty fast

Re:rx7 vs crx
you are definately faced with a hard one. i love both cars and have had to of each. i now have a crx but am looking for an rx7 again. i have a buddy that is a bad *** with them rotary engines. best beleive in all cases ive seen and he's seen the rx7 while blow by 150k miles. rotaries are this guys life and he knows. he can do anything to a rotary. so if your looking for reliability go with the honda or just rebuild the engine and you'll know what your working with

I couldn't have said it any better than Last_Mohican! A rotary is a different engine. It needs a little different care. Don't shut off the car until it's warmed up. It floods it. Misc, ---- like that. I've had a 79, an 82, an 83, and an 87 Turbo II and I loved everyone. We are also in the process of building another 87 Turbo II. They all had over 130,000 miles on them too. They all ran great! 45,000 miles my ***! Keep up regular oil and filter changes and it'll run forever. By the way my old stock Turbo II went 13.9 in the quarter on only 8psi boost since it has a fuel cut at 8.6psi. Stock exhaust, stock everything excluding boost. Oh yeah that was in Colorado too. I also use to rev my 82 RX-7 to 11,000 on a daily basis. Never any problems after 2 years. Don't knock the rotary if you don't know anything about it.
