Except everyone on both ends of the argument are making stupid personal attacks on each other over and over. Piston VS Rotary... That's a difference of opinion. If one person likes another over the other, fine. But just because one person supports another they suddenly enjoy guzzling ***, butt sex, or are horribly gay?

This thread went from "should I get an rx7" to people screaming insults at each other... The mods should close it or the participators should end this crap.... You're ALL being like little children here.

Good heavens, what children! It is impossible to assess an individual car based on loose generalities. Yes there are some very bad RX-7s out there. If its been overheated ever, its engine is done forever. However, I know several people running N/A RXs with 390K on the original engine and transmission. It comes down to maintenance. RX7's require more oil than most cars, you cant just change the oil and forget about it. Just because one RX7 is slow, doesn't mean they all are. My friend, for example, had an 86 Civic wagon. It was SLOW. Does that mean all Civics are slow? The answer is no. Here is an example of how fast the RX7 can be: Jesus Padilla runs a first gen, all motor 13B, and runs a 9.96 quarter mile. That is not slow by anyones definition.

dur du dur dur durrrr. your wrong fc's only handle like crap because their suspensions shot from old age still 50/50 but add the v8 only 180 punds added to the front relocate the battery and your pretty much back its just like havin someone sit on your hood. you can also set it back just like the rotary. apex seals break if u drive it like ----. sure reliable but it wouldnt handle as well if you put a v8 in a muscle car(even though their already in there)oh and btw a v8 switch on a tt rx7 ends up with a lighter car.

He's putting the turbo RX-7 engine in soon, and my sis's bf is sticking a small block chevy (400) in the RX-7 he just got. They're not even close to being shitty cars.
To do any mods, I mean any mods at all to a RX-7 FC, first you need a rebuild (cause the motors tend to be shitty after 30 000 on the odometer)

thats bullshit. if you know how to take care of your car it will last.

if you do exhaust or almost anything to the NA, you gotta wire the secondaries open,

also bullshit

all FC have a 3800 rpm stumble

complete bullshit. the hesitation is caused by bad engine grounding which can be expected on an almost 20 yr. old car.

, they all flood,

nope sorry, my 17 yr. old car with 150k on the clock has never flooded.

top mount intercoolers suck ***,

the guys who designed the wrx and sti didnt think so. those cars seem pretty successful to me.

they handle like ----,

handle like ----? youve go to be kidding me.

are not easy to drift,

who gives a ---- if its easy to drift? your civic is? oh yeah, just at lunch trays right?

and they are basicly heavy POS.

theyre far from heavy.

they basicly suck ***, I have never owned one but from what I've read on rx-7 club, and from what my geeky ricer friends have had happen to them, I am absolutely sure they suck ***.

what you read on a forum that large is to be expected. the people who have problems with their cars on that fourm to not reflect the entire population of rx7 owners. and again, the cars are almost 20 yrs old, cut them some slack.

also, The FCs are ugly as ----,

thats just your opinion, which in my opinion, sucks.

also, you will not pick up chicks in one either, trust me.

yeah i bet you get mad bitches in your civic.
