The COP idea is a pretty good one for the high power guys, what coils do you have in mind to use JD? It's still a better setup than any MSD capacitance setup in conjunction with the oem distributor, and I think some type of Hall effects crank trigger would probably have less issues if it's compatible. Eventually you could probably just manufacture something like DSM uses for a cam sensor to totally eliminate the distributor completely. Question is, how would you go about keeping base timing set to what it's supposed to be? Crank sensor? You'd probably lose some adjustability down the road if you ever needed to change the BTDC setting. |

Re: Riceboy marketing poll
I think I know this COP setup you speak of, but I will keep my mouth shut cause it seems that you don't want to actually say what it is yet.

Re: Riceboy marketing poll
I'm wanting to apply my hookup on an OEM performance COP with another man's COP logic board, true.
The COP I am proposing to use is semi-intelligent, designed to send error statuses and dwell/charge info back to the ECU. Incorporates it's own ignitor. Pretty slick ----. |
