Refund or not?
So i bought a turbo from ZC EF 4dr.. a volvo stock turbo.. in which he sent me a video which i will post or im sure he will once he reads this thread.. basically shows him moving the wheel saying minimal shaft play but video is not very clear and it appears that his hand isn't moving a ton but you cant really see the wheel move
anyway.. fast forward to when i get the turbo i pull it out of the box and the first thing i check is the shaft play... sure enough its alot more than minimal enough to where the wheel will actually touch the compressor housing.. now i had co workers there with me when i opened the package one of them builds and works with alot of turbo straight up tells me that it may run but not for long with how much play it had, and that it would need a rebuild so i send him a message and sure enough he tries to say that im scamming him and to basically ---- off cause its not his fault I didn't expect a brand new turbo but i did expect a good working turbo like he had explained.. not something that the compressor wheel can touch the housing yea 75$$ isn't a ton of money but its still money im losing.. how would you feel in this situation? |

Re: Refund or not?
damn slow hatch beat me to it.
once there is oil in it it will tighten up... |
Re: Refund or not?
wow way to run your mouth slo hatch.. you dont know anything about me or who i had look at the turbo.. The company i work for is very well known and very well respected so your opinion on that means nothing..
yes i know it will tighten up with some oil pressure but in 9/10 cases where a turbo wheel can touch the housing there is going to be problems and its not going on a car |

Re: Refund or not?
sorry greddy doesnt make kits for snowmobiles.. so im not gonna spend time and money to make this turbo fit what im doing to have it take a ---- on me after a few rides..
we have gone through this before thinking that it would be ok with similar turbos and guess what.. it was not ok. if i had this exact turbo as a spare i would just run it and when it took a ---- i would slap my other one on it .. but when this does crap out and i don't have a turbo thats the same that means i have to fab up a whole new system.. costing me time, money and not being able to ride my snowmobile and i didnt take it to a shop i had my coworkers who build turbos and work with them daily look at it.. if they though that it wouild be ok to use and would last a while i would just slap the bitch on and call it a day |

Re: Refund or not?
Like i said.. why would i want to spend time and money on making parts to fit this turbo on my sled when there is a good chance it may take a ---- on me.. if i had tons of spare time and extra money just floating around i would of already started on it..
yea maybe it would last a ride or 2 maybe 10 but with how much play that wheel has there is a chance it may take a ---- on the first day and id rather not find out a few miles back into the mountians |
