Rebuilding JetSki, Snowmobile motors... anyone?
So I'm wondering if anyone here has rebuilt jetski or snowmobile motors? Are they pretty simple to work on? I just want to get some for dirt with high miles or high hours on 'em and rebuild the *******.

if they are anything like bikes, some can be tricky. Gotta split the case to pull the crank, which has to be split to remove the rod.
However, alot of 2-strokes have a replaceable cylinder, so you can unbolt the head and slide off the cylinder. That way you can replace the piston and rings w/o removing the rod from the crank

ive rebuilt hundreds of both of the ----------ers. and on old boats its not the engines you gotta worry about.. Expecialy if its bombardier. the mpem will probably be ----, if the motors fucked up 90% of the time its because someone fliped the boat and hydrolocked it. then the staters fucked on em. bombardiers like to have electrical gremlins. but other than getting the exaust manifold off/on working on 2 stroke boats is ------- cake. snow mobiles are even easyer because once you take the front cover off theres a ton of damn room. Pumps and wear rings are usualy shot too on older boats. or the bearings inside the pump housing will be fucked because water gets in that ---- and no one ever changes it. That ---- smells ------- BAD. like rotten pungent onions. If you have a question on anything or think you might need some parts of a bombardier or a polaris i could probably get some used ---- from my old work.
