Replace the sensor with another off any 88-91 D15/D16, or 90-91 LS. The pre-88 cars probably have them, too, but I dunno.
You can also swap to a 92+ thermostat housing which has the thermo switch built into it, but that requires running your switch wiring over near/below the throttle body and it uses the commonplace 2p connector you find on all EFI Honduhs 85-01.

ill just unplug the fan and leave it be.. as of right now i dont think ill have any clearence issues
