I went junkyard turbo shopping to day and got some t3's just got done cleaning them up no shaft play.. Me and my buddy just went out there with oir tool kits and we just cut the oil lines and took the whole manifold off and unbolt the down pipe and then we take it out the car and sit it on the ground and detach the turbo..
knife,wrenches,wd,elbow grease,water or some sort of fluid.. lol

I can honestly say that I have done that.. it really feels good too, let out some agression, and its always fun chucking tire irons through windows

when i pulled my turbo off a a 3000gt i had a hella time fighting with the manifold bolts. so to solve this i pulled the head off and took head and all out of the car so i could apply more torque on the manifold bolts and they came lose. it worked for me so it could work for you. you can try it out if you want
