Pulling heater core on EG

Anyone ever pulled the heater core/box/airduct dingus from the center of the dash? Im pulling it ALL on my project EG. I got the blower and evap sections out, those are easy.. but it almost seems like you have to drop the dash to get the heater core ---- out!!!

Can anyone shed some light on this?

you do have to pull the dash to take it out.

I remember when we took the heater core out on my friends eg all i can say is

hahah....my first time...it took me 3 days, a few 24 cases of beer, and 1 carton of cig. good luck..and dont break anything. but im pretty sure you will. it happens......trust me. it does.
