pass on the A4 they are horrible to work on, the engine bay is a rats nest filled with brittle cheap plastic hoses and TB snap around 60k some have water pump issues. These are not hondas by any means, but the ride is so nice. The front end is endless issues, the brakes calipers go bad quickly, the wheel bearings are always going out... Thats the list off the top of my head.

S6=see my above comment, without the 2.8l reliability.
R8= Overpriced bag of ------- fail. It feels cheap and plasticy, and a bone stock evo could best it in the twisties.

I just took a look a the front end suspension of this A4 and they are f**kin horrible in design. The sell the kits to replace all the control arms and tie rods, but they cost about 500+. I still like the lines of the car. Not many cars around those years (96 to 2000) look decent, clean as the a4. The only other choice would be a bmw for me. Something along the lines of a 328i

Disagree, the 20v turbo engines really aren't bad, especially for a VAG product, it rains here by the shitload, I haven't run into any really weird wiring issues with the c4 chassis, but maybe that comes with having to deal with vw's...
After beating the ---- out of an R8 a few months ago, my only complaint besides not being able to afford one is the lack of power, the thing is slower than *****. But it handles great, we have a big parking lot and we were doing some doughnuts and ghetto skidpad tests. Took it on some speedy twisties as well. I like the car, but it needs twin turbos.

The R8 is a worthless piece of plastic ----. Sorry but my grandmother in an EVO could get better lap times than the failure R8. Not to mention the fact that it looks like grilled dog feces, especially the 2 tone cars. It handles ok, but not what I expect for that kind of money.
