You can get high 13:1 CRs off of B16 or LS head and domed pistons, with no quench to speak of.
Yeah, I know, but getting quench and low compression seems to require dollars is all I'm getting at.

I'd chuck up a piston and dish it a few cc's if it were that big a deal. It really doesn't take much to drop CR quite a lot.

Yeah, more the problem of finding a piston I can mount on eagles I already have. Vitaras need material added not taken away :P

Not that it really matters, 25 pounds will cure all.

Huh? Vitaras have a nice little lip around the edge that is good for some quench, if you use the right rod/block combo.

after reading the posts from today I did some research on quench and now it sounds like my d15b with vitaras and d16 rods is going to give me some reasonable compression for off boost and decent quench for some added detonation resistance. Am I wrong, I am new to quench
