i know it's not a neccesity, but it's not anyone else's place to tell me what my neccesities are. i have it up at the cabin for bears, deer, and tweekers.
as far as the poor little girl, there's LOTS of things that could kill her... runaway vehicles, a plane crashing into her home, both of which are much more likely to happen than me having an AD in the woods. I don't tell people what to do.... It's not my place until they ---- up.

I have my own feelings on things and get this, they are exact opposite of the stereotypical "soldier gun-toting" demeanor. And being a soldier only makes my opinions on restricted gun laws stronger. Tell you what, you spend a year working in a combat hospital in Iraq and you see your fallen brothers with tears in his eyes because he knows he'll never see his wife and kids again. you look into the eyes of a innocent Iraqi child who won't make it through the night, or a dying mother surrounded by her inconsolable children... you look at the destruction that weapons of war brings, the bombs, the fully auto rifles, the armor piercing rounds. the same weapons that you think somehow you deserve to have for being an American. you stare that horror, that nightmarish life decaying horror straight in the face, and then lets see if you still think that we should bring those weapons into our household.
