So why have them? To keep people from just walking into your house and raping your ***, or your lady's *** right in front of you and robbing you blind. A shotgun or small cal. handgun is sufficient.
There maybe the arguement of keeping guns for hunting but that really isn't a necessity these days. You can walk to a Burger King and grab a Whopper jr. for like $1.08. We have supermarkets and restraunts everywhere.
