Im new to the forum an iv got a few questions. So i have been looking around the internet for a list or build process of turboing my jeep. All the info i find though is for obd2 jeeps. Which is basically install the turbo kit and install a custom tuned ecu or have the stock one tuned.

I have a 1995 obd1 jeep cherokee 4.0 inline 6 cylinder with 96xxx orginal miles. I want to turbo it an push 8 to 10lbs. I know what hardware i would need. The part im lost in is the electeonics. Is the obd1 ecu tunable? Or do i have to get a standalone turbo/fuel/spark managment system? The jeep has no maf or map on the intake pipe. I'm not sure if there is one on the intake manifold. I only have 1 o2 sensor located before the catalytic converter.

What got me wanting more power is my cousin has a 2wd obd2 cherokee that is supercharged an is making around 350hp (not sure of torque) he has a aftermarket computer in his running everything. (Total build cost was around 7k i believe) the point to turboing mine is not to compete with his, his xj just showed me how much of a turd my xj is an if i could get like 250-300hp i would be happy. At the same time as inatalling the turbo setup i will be installing a voodoo cam an rebuilding the heads

I'm kind of a specialist in standalones; I know the MS3 will support this engine without needing to swap crank triggers. I'm not sure about options for stock ECU tuning on this one.
