Default management system for a WV golf3

hi, after boosting my d16z2, a friend of mine was amazed of the power, and now he also wants a HMTkit.

its an vw golf 3(rabbit) 1996 1.6 75 hp engine (code AEE) it already has multipoint injection.

as an engine managementsystem im using g60 injectors, and a g60 ecu, but i found out the wirehazard is differnt.

what do you all suggest for using as an engine managementsystem?

im trying to rewire some wires to the g60 ecu, but in do not have the wiring diagram of the AEE Ecu. i cant find it anywhere. the engine is also in a Scoda Octavia 1.6, and a seat ibita and vw polo, but i just cant find any wiring diagrams.

The ECU is a Marelli type.
the g60 ECU is a Digifant 1 ecu.

Depends on how much you want to spend for a management system. Megasquirt is one route, theres also the high end standalone units you can get that are extremely customizable. Have you been on VWVORTEX.com yet? Theres a hybrid section in the technical forum also try posting in the G60 section and the Corrado section. There are some people that know the G60 from front to back.

i have decided to use a digifant G60 Ecu. its used for forced induction, and uses a few other extra sensors. (potmeter, WOT sensor, IDLE valve stuff...
I have to rewire everything from the new g60 ecu to all the sensors, and actuators. I alsoneed a G60 Throttle, than build a DIY intake manifold.
Ill start tomorrow with buying the tubes and building the ******...

ill post pics in a new topic.

Man go with the megasquirt, One of my friends has a G60, that digifant is a piece of ----, we want to throw it at the wall every day, dont expect to be able to do any tuning whatsoever with it. The "potmeter" is a joke, trust me. Use megasquirt with a ford ignition, and a 36-1 gear.

That digifant sucks ***** on the car it was built for, I cant immagine trying to it on a car it wasnt even designed for. They do use a 28 pin eprom but there seems to be NO rom editing software available for it. There is a company called autotek that sells "chips" for them but wtf do they know about you're setup when you're car is 1,500 miles away.

i have g60 injectors, and there a little bit bigger compared to the original 1.6 AEE injectors.
g60 is a 1800cc engine, and the AEE a 1600 cc, so i think the setupi will be a little rich. but its more safe.

but why is the digifant so horrible for y our setup?
did you had trouble with it?

im not going to tune the ecu.

I dont know much about vw's let alone they're ecu's, couldn't you just run the stock ecu, the g60 injectors (if they're interchangeable) or stock injectors and run an fmu. That would atleast allow you to run it safely rich, but dont forget about the timing, maybe retard the distributor? BTM? Either way its only until he can afford Megasquirt right?
