91 CRX Si..just got it
89 S-10 Baja frame off resto V8 project, should be done at some point this summer
88 GMC Jimmy parts donor, soon the be chopped up and shipped out
87 Silverado tow rig/snowy day ride
86 Samurai, off road built, im in a wheeling club

I saved $10k buying my wrx used with only 20k miles on it. If you check around anything that is only 2 or 3 years old you will save a lot of money and some of those will still have some warranty left and should be reliable

I take it you are a chevy fan...
I have not seen one at the track yet, but all the car magazines that have, report similar numbers. Now when the new shelby cobra comes out it should be pretty interesting.
We'll see, I'm neither a ford nor a chevy fan so I really don't care

holy crap, i just did a little research on 1.8t tuning parts
neuspeed: p flow intake + p chip = 40 hp at the flywheel
and a fmic with revised plumming will give you 20+ more at the wheels
what a wonderful engine, i think the money saved on getting a 1.8t will more than make up for the time that it's in the shop
the turbo back exhausts look way spendy, but i bet those are an incredible difference

i read that they have chips that reprogram your cruise controls to toggle different performance modes like performance, daily driving, and one i read about was "valet" hahaha that would be funny if there was a mode where the car underperformed so some smart *** punk valet couldn't rip on your car.
wonder if they void the whole warranty ?

Well if I had a choice I would be all over a wrx but my friend loves his 1.8t and the aftermarket on those are amazing. If you are planning to seriously mod it the vr6 would not be the way to go i have even driven my friends 1.8t and they are fun little machines.
