Thats what we did, but two of the four springs/struts never popped, or jumped. It just fell through. And yeah all those ------ nuts and washers get ------- nasty hot. But we got it done and it looks good. Thanks guys I appriciate the help.

it was probably the rears that didnt seem to pop, i notice they are not under as much compression. kudos to you, lets see some pics. ;D

fuk that leave the car on the wheels lossen the shock bolt while the car is all together. the car weight will not let the spring pop. then lift the car with jack take wheel off then remove spring.

I shoot them into a box. You can also just cut the springs than disassemble them

depends on what year car it is. some cars spring have higher "stock" rates than other. when i did coil overs on my hatch(90) and crx.....i just put the spring facing a brick/solid wall and stood on the end and air-gunned the nut off; that way the spring shot into the wall and parts didnt go flying. BUT.....BUT...i warn you....do not, i swear you will regret it....do not un-load the spring by using an allen key and 9/16 wrench....

I like to use one of those big U-haul moving blankets (a.k.a. Crankshaft blanket) and wrap that ---- around the strut/spring. Then put the allen wrench in the top and lay it on the ground against a wall. Stand on it and undo the nut until it's right at the end. When it's right at the end, brace yo self, beeaaaaaaaaaaaaaatch. O0
